AESC have partnered with NRL to recruit for Site Services Engineers.
This is a unique and rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting and advanced industrial developments in many years where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle sector.
Core Role and Responsibilities:
Working as part of the Site Services Engineering team, the Site Services Engineer’s core duties shall include:
Responsibility for upkeep and management of primary building services including compressed air, chilled water and DI water plant, gas-fired steam boiler and LTHW plant, clean/dry room dehumidification and general HVAC plant, LEV and VOC extract systems, fire detection and suppression systems.
Management of incoming utilities including water, natural gas and site drainage.
Day to day upkeep and management of site services including development and implementation of full lifecycle preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
Responsibility for development and implementation of safe working procedures in accordance with recognised industry standards and approved codes of practice including FMEA and Risk assessment.
Co-ordination, control and safe management of external contractors including contractor management.
Management of major breakdown incidents, restoration and corrective maintenance.
Preparation and control of annual Capex and Opex budgets.
Additional Responsibilities:
In addition, the Site Services Engineer may also be involved in new plant development activity including:
Preparation of mechanical services design specifications
Implementation and ongoing management of Building and Energy Management Systems
Project management and co-ordination including project budget preparation and cashflow management
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Site / Building Services
Electrical Engineering experience including LV distribution and BMS system knowledge (not essential)
Demonstrable experience in a relevant site services or mechanical engineering role
Knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements
Strong PC skills including MS applications, MS Project and AutoCad / Revit or similar applications
Strong problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills
Desirable (but not essential) requirements:
Knowledge and experience of ATEX, HAZOP, COMAH, LOLER, EPR, Legionella Management
Experience of Fire Protection and Suppression systems
Clean / Dry Room Production environment experience
UK Driving licence holder
